Questions

What should I log after each walk?

The closest distance at which your dog saw another dog and stayed calm (could still eat and look back at you), how many reactions happened, and how strong the worst one was. Those three numbers show progress better than memory.

What is a good closest calm distance?

There is no universal number. Start wherever your dog is today, even 100 feet or more. Progress means that distance slowly shrinks over weeks, with fewer and softer reactions.
